5 Events for Start-ups and Entrepreneurs in early 2010
There are new events coming up all the time, so you might say this is an early edition! Here is a list of events we know about so far that we think are worth mention:
- Growing a Successful Social Enterprise - 19 January 2010.Run by Doug Richards School For Startups, it is only just round the corner, so is at the top of our list. A must for any social entrepreneur, it includes an impressive panel of guest speakers including Uday Thakkar of Red Ochre, Antony Ross of Bridges Ventures, Jonathan Jenkins of UnLtd and Julie Devonshire of ONE. There are still a few places left, so get in quick.
- Cmpitch “Investor Ready” bootcamp 15 & 16 February 2010. With a great line up of topics and speakers, we’ve heard good things about this 2 day event aimed a preparing you for investment.
- The Entrepreneur Show – 24 – 25 February 2010. A new one for this year, “The Entrepreneur Show” is billed as the “The event for enterprising individuals”. The speaker list seems to be filling up nicely, so should be worth a look.
- The British Library IP Centre. “Web in Feb” This one is a bit of a cheat as it is not a single event, but you can always find something worth attending at the The British Library IP Centre. Their own events are free and there are also a range of events run by partners. They are running “Web in Feb” this February with a range of seminars focusing on all things Internet and business. Take a look here.
- Monitoring Social Media Bootcamp – London, 31 March 2010 Our Social Times is hosting a one-off social media monitoring master class in London on 31st March 2010. Their monitoring Social Media 09 event last year was a real eye opener and certainly gave the VentureNavigator team a few ideas. If you are taking your Social Media Marketing seriously this is bound to be good.
If you’re thinking “How could they only pick 5 events? There are loads of better ones out there!” why not add your recommendations in a comment…
